Investment Analyst
Mitchell is an Investment Analyst at Lipman Burgon, where he focuses on manager research and due diligence.
Mitchell previously spent three years at the firm as a Relationship Manager, supporting clients and the Advisory team across reporting, administration and investment implementation. He particularly enjoyed working closely with clients on institutional-grade, multi-asset portfolios.
Before joining Lipman Burgon, Mitchell completed a nine-month internship as a Financial Advisor Assistant at Diamond Blue Financial Services, where he developed his understanding of core-satellite portfolio construction and manager research. He also served a ten-month internship at Valor Financial Group, where he was first introduced to private wealth management through more traditional stock and bond portfolio construction.
Drawn to Lipman Burgon by the sophistication of its investment offering across ultra-high-net-worth and family office clients, Mitchell has valued the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships and help facilitate real investment outcomes during his time in the Advisory team. The client-facing perspective he has developed, understanding how investment decisions land in practice, is something he saw as a genuine asset as he moved into a more analytical capacity in mid-2026.
He is looking forward to deepening his investment knowledge through practical analysis, examining assets and asset classes individually as well as their roles within broader portfolio construction, complementing his progress through the CFA program.
Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Economics (Financial Economics) from the University of New South Wales Business School. He is a CFA Level III candidate, having passed both Level I and Level II on the first attempt, and is working towards completing the designation.
