Stephen is a Principal Adviser at Lipman Burgon, advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, companies and not-for-profit entities on investment strategy and long-term wealth management.
With more than 23 years of experience in financial advice and wealth management, Stephen has extensive expertise in investment portfolio construction, investing across public and private markets, superannuation strategy and estate planning coordination. He works with both discretionary and non-discretionary clients, specialising in the complex financial structures often associated with successful families and family groups.
Known for his holistic approach to advice, Stephen integrates investment management with broader financial planning considerations, including tax-effective structuring, succession planning and coordination with clients’ accountants, solicitors and other professional advisers. By bringing these elements together seamlessly, he helps clients implement tailored strategies designed to preserve wealth, support future generations and achieve their long-term financial objectives.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from Kaplan Professional. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).
